Ülkemizde “devlet-devlet”, “devlet-birey”, “birey-birey”
ilişkilerinde kullanılan hegemonyada demokrasi anlayışı “giydirme/giydirilmiş”
bir demokrasi anlayışıdır. Ezberlenmiş kurallara sahip ancak uygulamadan yoksun
bir anlayıştır bu. Demokrasi, çoğu kez kulaktan kulağa dolaşmış, yazılmış,
çizilmiş, uzun tartışmaların konusu olmuştur. Hatta savaşlar için neden bile
olmuştur. Sözüm ona okullarda ders konusu olarak da işletilir. Ama sınavları
geçmek için yapılan ezberlerden, bir galon petrolden veya dostlar arasındaki
sıcak “memleket meseleleri” muhabbetlerinden öteye gidememiştir. Bu uygulama
yoksunu ezberlenmiş demokrasi anlayışı ülke insanına o kadar öz güven verir ki
bazen, sonu ahkam kesmelere, ders vermelere kadar dayanır. Herkes yöneticidir
bu fabrikada, işçiye pek rastlanmaz.
Fırat
Bingöl’ün otorite, demokrasi, eğitim anlayışı ve birey sorunsalından yola
çıkarak ortaya koyduğu eserde kullandığı ironi de “manipüle edilmiş
demokrasi”ye verilebilecek güzel örneklerdendir. 14 yaşlarında bir öğrenci,
okul koridorunda, taktığı Atatürk maskesi ile hepimize ahkam kesmekte…
The hegemonic conception of democracy that is used in our
country to define the relations between the states, the state and the
individuals, and the interpersonal relations is a “dressed/garbed” one. It is a
conception with memorized rules that are not applied. Democracy has been heard
through the grapevine, written and talked about, and has constituted the
subject of many long debates. It has even become a cause of wars. It has been
taught in courses at schools. Nevertheless, it could not take a further place
than the memorizations for the exams, a gallon of oil or the friendly
conversations about the matters of country. This memorized yet unperformed
conception of democracy assures the fellow countrymen with such a self esteem
that it sometimes reaches a state of pontifying and lecturing. In this factory
everyone is a manager; and it's hard to encounter workers.
The
irony that Fırat Bingöl sets forth in his work, through a problematization of
the conceptions of authority, democracy, education and the individual is one of
the good examples that can be given to “manipulated democracy”. A 14 years old
student, at the school's corridors, is pontifying us all with his Atatürk
mask...
